Bollywood insiders not happy with Rakhi Sawant and Veena Malik for becoming Silk

The National Award winning flick, ‘The Dirty Picture’, which featured Vidya Balan in the role of Silk Smitha, is being remade in Bengali and Tamil version and this time Rakhi Sawant and Veena Malik will play the lead role respectively. However, this news has not gone well with the Bollywood insiders because they believe Rakhi and Veena will destroy Balan’s image.

Trade analyst Joginder Tuteja told the media that Balan portrayed the role of Silk Smitha is a pretty decent way but controversial actors like Rakhi Sawant and Veena Malik would destroy everything, as Tuteja thinks they can cross any limits to gain publicity.

“There is a stark difference in the acting capabilities of a Vidya Balan and that of all the Rakhis and Veenas of the world. These two have built their career on controversies, so, less said about their acting talent the better. Vidya portrayed the role with a lot of grace, it didn’t look vulgar. But with the other two playing Silk, it’ll indeed be a dirty picture,” said Tuteja.

Another trade pundit Amod Mehra also has the same views. Vidya Balan starrer ‘The Dirty Picture’, which was released last year on December 10, rocked at the box office but Mehra thinks the Bengali and Tamil versions will sank at the BO without any trace.

Mehra said, “Vidya had a clean image and the fact that she did such a role got people talking, while Rakhi and Veena are known only as sex symbols. If they do the film, it will fall flat. It’ll look like a sleazy film.”

Well, all said and done, the motor-mouth Rakhi Sawant and the controversial queen of Pakistan have always locked headlines for wrong reason. Therefore, it is fair to say that the Bengali and Tamil version of the film will have many bold contents in it.

Moreover, Rakhi has recently said that “Vidya hasn’t done anything in The Dirty Picture. I will do hotter scenes in the Bengali remake. Even Vidya will be surprised after seeing my character.”

Let’s see what response these two actresses will get from the audiences.
