England’s Ronnie O’Sullivan aiming to claim 2012 World Snooker Championship title
Tuesday, May 1st, 2012 2:12:48 by Zeeshan GoharOne of the most talented snooker legends, England’s Ronnie O’Sullivan has successfully made his way into the second round of the 2012 World Snooker Championship at the Crucible Theatre in Sheffield after ousting the former World Snooker Champion and the 2012 China Open winner, compatriot Peter Ebdon in the initial round of the mega event.
The Essex Exocet earned impressive victories in important tournaments including the Players Tour Championship (PTC), the Premier League Snooker (PLS) and the 2012 German Masters during the recent snooker season.
Meanwhile, during his season campaign O’Sullivan suffered from glandular fever and was not able to play in the 2012 Haikou World Open and the 2011-12 PTC Grand Finals.
While speaking to the media, O’Sullivan said, “My attitude was good (against Ebdon). It’s been really good all season. Even though I’ve not been playing great I’ve not been beating myself up too much if things aren’t going right for me.”
The Rocket added, “My game’s not brilliant, but at least my mind is allowing me to give 110% and get what I can out of matches, so I’m pleased with that side of things. If I win, then great, but if I don’t it’s not the be-all-and-end-all.”
O’Sullivan will meet the former two-time World Snooker Champion, Wales’ Mark Williams in the second round of the 2012 World Snooker Championship.
