Other than the Galaxy line of Android-based smartphones from Samsung have never attracted so much attention but Exhibit is another case altogether. It is affordable and boasts some of the best qualities that a premium phone like Nexus has.
The phone comes with Android Gingerbread 2.3 and all its glory on a 1 GHz single-core processor, which may sound old school now but even today the phone works smoothly, especially for its price bracket.
Including the processor and camera, everything in this smartphone is nominal and not made over to give a premium look. The rear-facing camera is 3-mega pixel with good video and snapshot qualities while the front side has a VGA quality snapper. It has a 3.7-inch WVGA touch screen.
Exhibit works on advanced High Speed Packet Access (HSPA+) network which is good for the money paid for the device. However, its connectivity on WiFi is even more impressive.
Nokia Lumia 710 (2011)
And at the last but definitely not the least position is Nokia’s Lumia 710. The Finnish company has produced one of the best devices still remaining in the bracket of affordable price range.
Nokia’s arrival to the smartphone industry was undoubtedly late but given the company‘s reputation in robust hardware integrity and software integration, the interim time washed out of the equation in a snap.
Lumia 710 is a Windows Phone smartphone as are all of its 2011 devices and the upcoming ones this year. Nokia is working closely with Microsoft to bring both, hardware from Nokia and the software back-up from Microsoft to the top level in the market.
The smartphone works on 4G HSPA+ network while the hardware includes single 1 GHz processor that runs Windows Phone 7.5 Mango very efficiently. The 5-mega pixel camera at the rear end can capture 720p video whereas the phone itself is capable of playing 1080p videos smoothly.
