Pooja Bhatt wants 11 pm slot for ‘Jism 2’

Milan Luthria’s film ‘The Dirty Picture’, which featured Vidya Balan in the lead role, is the talk of the town at this point in time because the satellite screening of the film was stopped by Information & Broadcasting ministry as they thought the film is not appropriate for the children. However, actor-turned-director Pooja Bhatt is not worried at all since she knows her film will never be given an afternoon slot.

The National Award winning film ‘The Dirty Picture’, which was released last year on December 10, was scheduled for the telecast at noon and 8 pm on April 22 but I&B ministry shocked everyone in B’town including Pooja Bhatt by stalling the transmission just a day before the telecast.

Speaking on the issue, Bhatt said she doesn’t know why it happened with ‘The Dirty Picture’ but her film definatley deserves a 11 pm slot. Bhatt admitted in front of the media that she is making an adult film and she wants an 11 pm slot for it.

Pooja said, “Not sure what the hue & cry about Dirty Picture being denied an afternoon slot is about!”

“I welcome an ‘A’ certificate for Jism2 – the sequel to India’s first definitive adult love story, JISM. I want nothing less than an 11 pm slot for Jism2. I am making an ADULT film and want a slot that caters to ADULTS on TV. Why would I water my film down to suddenly cater to a family audience?” she concluded.

‘Jism 2’, which is scheduled to hit the cinemas on August 3, is one of the most eagerly awaited films of this year and the main reason behind is obviously the presence of the Indo-Canadian porn star Sunny Leone, who has become a household name in India.

The film will feature Leone as the female lead and actors Randeep Hooda and Arunoday Singh will play roles opposite to her.

Well, all said and done, let’s see if the much-anticipated film really lives up to the expectations.
