Nokia Lumia 710
Nokia made a comeback to the smartphone industry with the Lumia line of handsets and Lumia 800 (worldwide edition) and 710 were the first to arrive to the market. The latter belongs to a more affordable segment but has some of the best features that are found in premium Android phones.
Equipped with a 4.3-inch Super-AMOLED screen and Nokia’s ClearBlack technology, that offers deeper blacks, the phone offers the best display that some top-shelf Android phones fail to deliver.
Though its dimensions are a kick-back it comes in a range of attractive colours and a very juvenile shape. The lively structure holds a 5-mega pixel camera, a single-core Snapdragon processor and the latest version of Windows Phone, 7.5 Mango.
Lumia 710 boasts a longer battery life with a 1300 mAh battery, which sounds old school but the single-core processor drains less battery than dual-core and quad-core processors. Moreover, WP 7.5 is a proven energy-efficient operating system.
The primary 5-mega pixel camera is capable of taking 720p HD video, which is downsize as compared to the current market but in such affordable price it is a plus.
Samsung Focus S
The Korean company has come up with a very slick and stylish handset that offers a vivid 4.3-inch Super-AMOLED touch screen and an 8-mega pixel camera. Still the phone has managed to remain in the bracket of inexpensive handsets.
The phone offers a very simple and attractive design with a big display and a thin bezel that makes it perfect to handle in smaller hands. Samsung has not forgotten internet connectivity; Focus S comes equipped with 4G HSPA+ technology.
