Aamir Khan’s ‘Satyamev Jayate’ is a copy of ‘Rakhi ka Insaaf’: Rakhi Sawant

The motor-mouth Rakhi Sawant has once again done it! This time the actress has claimed that Aamir Khan’s show ‘Satyamev Jayate’ is a copy of her show ‘Rakhi Ka Insaaf’. Rakhi recently gave an exclusive interview to ‘TOI’, in which she insisted that Khan has stolen her concept of the show.

She said, “The show is a complete copy of Rakhi ka Insaaf. They (the production house) have stolen our concept. The format of my show was similar. There was a point when I was so disturbed after meeting the various people who came on the show with their problems, that I had to be hospitalised, since I was suffering from depression.”

Sawant, who is best known for her item numbers, further added that ‘Satyamev Jayate’ is garnering a lot of appericiation only because of Aamir Khan. She said her show was given a late night slot due to the mature content but Khan’s show is broadcasted at 11 am.

She said, “My show was shifted to a late night slot because of its mature content, but it still registered good TRPs. On the other hand, just because Satyamev Jayate has Aamir Khan, the show is being aired in the morning slot and people are talking about it.”

She added, “My only issue is that if Aamir Khan decides to do a show like this, it is termed social work, but if Rakhi Sawant anchors a similar show it is termed as business and a means to garner TRPs.”

‘Satyamev Jayate’ is a talk show in which Aamir is highlighting social issues of the society by going across the country. In the first episode, which was broadcasted last Sunday, Khan created awareness among the nation about female foeticide and his effort has been commended by many out there.

Well, all said and done, let’s see how Aamir responds to this situation.
