Choosing a tablet: Which device is best for what purpose? – Part 4

Apple’s iPad 2 and the new iPad, for instance, are the market leader in terms of technology advancements. Both of these tablets come with G-Sensors, Gyroscopes, extremely sharp displays, very responsive touch sensitivity and 3G/4G wireless support.

There are Android alternatives available in the market in the forms of Asus Transformer Prime, Asus Transformer Pad TF300, Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.7 and Sony Tablet.

All these devices range from $400 and upward. However, some of them are even substitutes to laptops in some cases. For instance, the new iPad and Transformer Pad TF300 sport GPUs that offer smooth and silky 3D rendering. NVIDIA’s Tegra 3 processor offers some of the best and close-to-reality graphics like screen-water-splash in Rapitide GP.

Most of them come with full HD cameras and almost all of them support 1080p HD video playback. The likes of iPad, Transformer Pad/Prime and Galaxy Tab have wider viewing angles that boost amplify the movie watching experience.

Therefore, if someone wants a single device to address multiple tasks, full-fledged tablets like iPad, Transformer series and Galaxy Tab are best solutions.
