There was no excitement with Madhuri’s comeback: Rajneesh Duggal

The Indian model turned Bollywood actor, Rajneesh Duggal, former Grasim Mr. India 2003 and a runner up in Mr. International contest representing India, will be playing a lead role opposite to none other than Karisma Kapoor in Vikram Bhatt’s much-anticipated upcoming film ‘Dangerous Ishq’ and he is very excited about it.

Duggal recently had an exclusive interview with TOI, in which he talked about his upcoming film and much more.

Karisma Kapoor is coming back to the industry after a long gap and along with her the likes of Kajol and Madhuri Dixit are also making a comeback.

Duggal was asked about if he thinks Karisma will be equally or more successful than her contemporaries, on which the actor surprisingly said that he doesn’t thinks if there was any excitement on Madhuri’s comeback.

Duggal said, “Definitely because Karishma is at par with Kajol. Dangerous Ishq will be her best performance till date. I feel there was no excitement with Madhuri’s comeback.”

The 32-year-old has done only three Bollywood and one Tamil film thus far. Perhaps this is a reason why he is super-excited to play a lead role opposite to Karisma.

He said, “I have grown up watching her films and for me to star opposite Karishma in her comeback film is an absolute thrill.”

He said, “I would give her a 10/10 and I’m basing this on the main takes she’s shot. Her performances have gotten better over the years from her initial Prem Qaidi days until now. I loved her in Fiza, Shakti, Biwi No.1 and her other comic roles.”

This year only ‘Agneepath’ and ‘Housefull 2’ has been able to cross the 100 crore mark at the box office but Duggal is expecting that his film will also generate a lot of revenue at BO.

“I have high expectations from the film but you can never predict the fate of a film. I’m hoping for the best and Dangerous Ishq should at least cross the 50-80 crores mark.”

‘Dangerous Ishq’ is scheduled to hit the cinemas on May 11.
