Chuiev Elias claims two gold medals – 2012 Ukraine Summer Cup

Chuiev Elias claimed two gold medals in the 100m and 200m butterfly disciplines at the 2012 Ukraine Swimmer Cup.

Elias showed no mercy to his rivals for gold medal by posting a time of 53.75 seconds. The gold medallist was followed by Dubrov Dennis, who remained just 0.06 seconds away from overpowering his former finisher and stepped on the victory stand for second
position with the timing of 53.81 seconds.

Third position of the event was gained by Lemeshko Lubomir, who was almost 0.40 seconds apart and proved his eligibility for bronze medal by submitting a time of 54.17 seconds.

Subsequently, Elias secured gold medal of the 200m butterfly by posting a time of 1 minute and 58.88 seconds. He was chased by D Alexander, who remained nearly four seconds apart and emerged on the finishing wall for second position by clocking a time of
2 minutes and 02.03 seconds.

The second position holder was traced by Shemberev Maxim, who stayed just 0.39 seconds apart and surfaced on the finishing wall with the timing of 2 minutes and 02.42 seconds.

Following that, Shemberev dominated the final of Men’s 400m IM as he clocked a time of 4 minutes and 23.97 seconds for gold medal.

His nerve-wrecking pace was trailed by Bezugly Alexander, who suffered a loss of almost five seconds from the gold medallist and tapped the finishing end with an effort of 4 minutes and 28.62 seconds for silver medal.

The second position holder was followed by Irakli Bolkvadze, who remained 1.30 seconds away and surfaced on the finishing wall for bronze medal with the timing of 4 minutes and 29.92 seconds.

Elias expressed contentment over his victory in the butterfly swims and articulated that he will work hard to excel at the higher levels of swimming.

Furthermore, the session ended after the completion of all listed events while the position holders were awarded medals and accolades for their wonderful efforts at the prize distribution ceremony of the championship.
