Bahria University Wins Annual Sports Meet at EME College of NUST

Bahrians won 10 of the total 14 events to capture overall fixture’s trophy of the Annual Sports Meet at the E&ME College of NUST last weekend.

It was a tri fixture between Bahria University, H12 Campus of NUST and the hosts E&ME College of NUST.

Competitions were held in nine male and five female sports. Male sports included Cricket, Hockey, Football, Volleyball, Basketball, Squash, Badminton, Table Tennis and Lawn Tennis. Meanwhile, female sports included Basketball, Volleyball, Table Tennis, Badminton and Cricket.

Bahria University participated in 12 events that included all the nine for male and Basketball, Volleyball and Table Tennis for female.

Bahria’s sportsmen clinched title in seven of the nine events only excluding Football and Badminton. On the other hand, Bahria’s sportswomen won all the three events they participated in.

Top performers among Bahrians were Sehrish Kausar and Sana Mahmud in Women’s Volleyball; Sana Mahmud, Samina Badam and Maimoona Ruhi in Women’s Volleyball and Sidra Zeb in Women’s Table Tennis.

On the men’s side Uzair Ahmed and Ammad Ahmed in Basketball, Kashif Majeed and Muhammad Waqas Ahmed in Hockey, Kashif Majeed in Badminton, Adnan Khan in Volleyball, Usman Khan in Cricket, Durraiz Zulfiqar in Squash, Waleed Azam Khan in Table Tennis and Talha Dar in Lawn Tennis.

By winning 10 events and getting second position in two, Bahrians gathered a total of 56 points to take overall first position. Bahria’s Sports Coordinator Talha Dar received fixture’s overall trophy on behalf of his University.

Table Tennis : Bahria beat EME

Hockey : Bahria beat EME 3-0

Badminton : EME beat Bahria 2-1

Squash : Bahria beat EME 2-0

Volleyball : Bahria beat EME 3-1

Football : EME beat bahria 2-1

Tennis : Bahria beat EME 2-1

2nd -> EME COLLEGE: 35

3rd – > NUST H-12: 21
