Caroline Ruhnau and Johannes Neumann capture gold medals – German Olympic Trials

Caroline Ruhnau and Johannes Neumann captured gold medal of the 50m breaststroke in Women and Men’s category on final day of the German Olympic Trials in Berlin.

The first event of the session was Women’s 50m breaststroke, where Caroline served notice of her talent by winning gold medal of the event.

With her astonishing efforts, she sprinted her way towards the finishing blockade for gold medal by posting a time of 31.66 seconds.

Her gold winning effort was chased by Laura Simon, who remained 0.04 seconds slower and settled on the finishing wall as silver medallist by reporting a time of 31.70 seconds.

Simon stayed 0.21 seconds faster from Margarethe Hummel, who stepped on the medal rostrum for bronze medal by producing a time of 31.91 seconds.

Next was the equivalent event in Men’s corner, where Neumann showed no mercy to his challengers and settled on the podium for the crown of the event.

He remained marginally ahead of his competitors from the start of the event and sprinted his way towards the finishing end for gold medal by clocking a time of 28.09 seconds.

The champion was trailed by Erik Steinhagen, who stayed just 0.03 seconds apart and hit the finishing blockade with the timing of 28.12 seconds for silver medal.

Third finest spot of the race was secured by Maximilian Kraus, who remained 0.39 seconds apart and emerged on the finishing end with the timing of 28.51 seconds.

After that, Alexandra Wenk dominated the playoff of Women’s 50m butterfly and snared gold medal of the event.

She went full throttle in the single lap event and emerged on the finishing end for gold medal by clocking a time of 26.87 seconds.

The gold medallist was followed by Sina Sutter of SG Essen, who remained almost two strokes behind and transpired on the finishing end for silver medal by producing a nice time of 27.02 seconds.

The third spot of the discipline was obtained by Paulina Schmiedel of SG Essen, who remained only 0.10 seconds slower from overpowering her foregoing finisher and touched the wall with the timing of 27.12 seconds.

Furthermore, the championship ended after the completion of all events.
