Tablets are trending these days and anybody denying the fact has either been living under a rock or is too naïve to go into total denial. Some experts even go to saying that the new tablet culture is the spawning stage of the post-PC era where desktops will be replaced by tablets with docks.
Companies like Apple, Microsoft and Google are integrating more and more touch-oriented and pro-mobility features in their high-end desktop operating systems, the recent examples of Windows 8 and Mac OS X Mountain Lion are before our eyes.
However, until we reach that time, best choice in the world of tablet narrow down to three devices in my view: Apple’s iPad, Amazon’s Kindle Fire and Asus’ Transformer Pad TF300. Though we are yet to see a Windows 8 tablet as the operating system has not been officially released.
Among the three aforementioned devices, Kindle Fire is the most affordable and offers more or less the best features any tablet can in the contemporary market like video playback, audio play, online streaming, book reading and top-of-the-line web browsing. Yet the company has managed to keep the price of the tablet a hair under $200.
