Katarzyna Wilk and Konrad Czerniak dominate swimming events – Polish LC Championships

Katarzyna Wilk and Konrad Czerniak captured gold medals of 100m freestyle in Women and Men’s category on final day of the 2012 Polish Long Course Championships.

Wilk remained considerably ahead of her challengers from the start of the race and with her alluring efforts, she reached the finishing end for gold medal.

Her scintillating efforts remained prominently ahead of her challengers in the second half, where she tapped the wall for gold medal by producing a time of 57.74 seconds.

The champion was followed by Karina Wlostowska of MKS “11” Jelenia Gora, who stayed nearly three seconds apart and emerged on the finishing end for silver medal by submitting an effort of 58.07 seconds.

Third spot of the discipline was obtained by Diana Sokolowska of MKS Juvenia Bialystok, who stayed only 0.01 seconds apart and tapped the finishing end with the timing of 58.08 seconds.

Following that, Czerniak dominated the equivalent event in Men’s category. He stayed almost two seconds ahead of his strongest challenger and tapped the wall for the title of the discipline by posting a time of 50.49 seconds.

The champion was followed by Kacper Majchrzak of K.S. Warta Poznari, who remained 0.12 seconds slower and settled on the victory stand for second position by posting a time of 50.61 seconds.

The second position holder was chased by Dawid Zielinski of MKP Szczecin, who was 0.24 seconds away from overpowering his former finisher and tapped the wall with the timing of 50.85 seconds for bronze medal.

In the meantime, the crowd witnessed alluring efforts of Kinga Cichowska in the Women’s 100m breaststroke. With her epic pace, she ended her swim in a top time of 1 minute and 10.95 seconds.

The champion was followed by Paulina Zachoszcz, who stayed just 0.01 seconds slower and transpired on the finishing wall for silver medal by posting a time of 1 minute and 10.96 seconds.

Third spot of the event was secured by Weronika SWR Paluszek, who was almost half a body length behind and settled on the victory stand for bronze medal by tapping the wall with an effort of 1 minute and 11.62 seconds.

Furthermore, the championship ended after the completion of all planned events.
