Shah Rukh Khan faces ban from Wankhede for misbehaving with MCA official
Friday, May 18th, 2012 11:10:26 by Imran Shaukat KhanBollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan has once again landed in the middle of a controversy since he has been banned for life from the Mumbai’s main cricket stadium for behaving with the MCA officials.
Last Wednesday night, the 46-year-old actor, who co-owns the Indian Premier League (IPL) team Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), took a group of youngsters including his daughters Suhana onto the Wankhede Stadium pitch after a match and when the guard stopped him he started a brawl.
As per the MCA officials the Khan, who has millions of fans all over the world, was dead drunk and used abusive language.
“Khan abused the MCA security personnel and officials, including our president Vilasrao Deshmukh. SRK was dead drunk, our security tried to stop him but he pushed him and abused in such filthy language that I cannot repeat … he abused MCA, BCCI, used the ‘F’ word. We’ve decided to ban him from entering the stadium for life,” said Savant.
“Security officials told him to leave, but Shah Rukh Khan started the brawl,” Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) secretary Nitin Dalal told NDTV news.
“He entered the ground half an hour after the game. The officers told him that this was not the right time. He misbehaved and he used foul language.
Dalal told the media that MCA has filed a police complaint against the cricket-crazy star and he will likely be banned from future attendance at the Wankhede Stadium.
Shah Rukh Khan however denies all accusations that he was drunk or behaving illegally. SRK spoke to the media last Thursday out his Mumbai home. He said that he became angry when officials at the stadium abused him and ‘physically manhandled’ the children.
“Vilasrao Deshmukh, president, MCA meanwhile said, “The decision on the ban will be taken in the MCA meeting.”
Well, all said and done, let’s wait and watch what happens with Shah Rukh Khan.
