Octavio Alesi and Mercedes Toledo excel in swimming events – Venezuela Open Championships

Octavio Alesi and Mercedes Toledo won gold medals of the Men’s 50m butterfly and Women’s 50m breaststroke in the 14 and Over age group at the Venezuela Open Championship.

Alesi stayed prominently ahead of his challengers and captured gold medal of the event with a phenomenal timing of 32.83 seconds.

The champion was followed by Johana Barreiro, who remained nearly three body lengths apart and emerged on the finishing blockade for second position by submitting a nice time of 35.05 seconds.

The silver medallist was followed by Roanyi Herrera, who was only one stroke away from her foregoing finisher and posted a time of 35.14 seconds for bronze medal.

Following that, Toledo dominated the Women’s 50m breaststroke and upset her challengers by pocketing gold medal of the event.

Her astonishing efforts placed her prominently ahead of her challengers and she sustained her fastest qualification struggle with a phenomenal timing of 32.83 seconds.

The champion was followed by Johana Barreiro, who remained nearly three body lengths apart and emerged on the finishing blockade for second position by submitting a nice time of 35.05 seconds.

After that, Alejandro Gomes excelled in the Men’s 800m freestyle. With his commendable efforts, he stayed considerably ahead of his challengers throughout the event and made his way to the finishing wall for silver medal by producing a time of 8 minutes
and 12.47 seconds.

The gold medallist was followed by Andy Arteta, who suffered a deficit of almost fifteen seconds from his foregoing finisher and settled on the medal rostrum for silver medal by posting a time of 8 minutes and 27.53 seconds.

The second position holder was followed by Miguel Perez, who stayed almost one second apart and hit the wall with the timing of 8 minutes and 28.75 seconds for bronze medal.

Furthermore, the championship ended after the completion of all planned events.
