Asin: Being part of three out of the top 10 Rs. 100cr movies is an achievement for me

Bollywood diva Asin is only four years old in the Indian filmmaking industry but she has seen tremendous success with three films crossing the coveted Rs 100 crore mark at the box office. Those films are Amir Khan’s Ghajni (2008), Salman Khan’s Ready (2011) and the recent comic caper ‘Housefull 2’, in which she starred alongside Akshay Kumar.

The actress while sharing her thoughts with the media admitted that she feels pretty amazed with her position in the industry today. Asin also insisted that she doesn’t have any godfather in the industry.

Asin said, “The fact that I made a breakthrough and did films with Aamir Khan, Salman Khan, Ajay Devgn and now Akshay Kumar is great. Out of the four films I did, three are Rs. 100 crore hits. With this kind of success ratio I guess I have done well for myself. I would say, I have made it without g godfathers and grandfathers.”

“These are baby steps for me, as I have been a part of Hindi films for just four years as compared to others who have been here longer. Being part of three out of the top 10 Rs. 100cr movies is an achievement for me. I feel accepted as a part of mainstream Bollywood,” she added.

Asin has always been seen in full clothes on the big screen as a result to which many out thinks she is a bit conservative as far as exposing her body is concerned. However, when the actress was asked about it she said no one has approached for such roles thus far.

She said, “I’ll cross the bridge when I come to it. I’ve never been approached for such roles. I don’t think I’ll be comfortable doing bold scenes or films that have too much of sexual content.”

Asin will now be seen in ‘Bol Bachchan’, in which she will play the lead opposite to actor Ajay Devgn.

Let’s see if she entertains the audiences with this movie as well.
