Roberto Gomez and Elimar Barrios won gold medals of Men’s 50m freestyle and Women’s 50m backstroke at the Venezuela Open Championships.
The first event of the session was 50m freestyle, where Gomez remained marginally slower from his strongest challenger and settled on the finishing end for gold medal by submitting a time of 23.13 seconds.
The gold medallist was followed by Glen A Sochackyj, who stayed 0.19 seconds apart and hit the finishing end for second position by producing a time of 23.32 seconds.
Third position of the discipline was secured by Jesus Lopez, who was just 0.01 seconds slower from his foregoing finisher and transpired on the finishing end with an effort of 23.33 seconds.
After that, the crowd witnessed stupendous efforts of Barrios in the single lap backstroke discipline.
With her epic start, Barrios enjoyed an advantage of half body length over her closest challenger and tapped the finishing end for the crown of the event by reporting a time of 30.89 seconds.
The champion was trailed by Maria L Ramirez, who remained just 0.62 seconds behind and secured silver medal of the event by reporting an effort of 31.51 seconds.
The silver medallist was followed by Nayrelis Caceres, who remained 0.72 seconds slower from overwhelming her foregoing finisher and tapped the wall for bronze medal with the timing of 32.23 seconds.
Following that, Alejandro Gomez won gold medal of the Men’s 1500m freestyle. He remained significantly ahead of his challengers from the start of the event and cruised his way towards the finishing wall for gold medal by clocking a time of 15 minutes and
52.45 seconds.
His gold winning effort remained nearly twenty-six seconds faster from Andy Arteta, who followed Gomez on the victory stand for silver medal by reporting a time of 16 minutes and 18.46 seconds.
The second position holder was trailed by Robert Barreto, who remained nearly sixteen seconds apart and stepped on the medal rostrum for bronze medal by producing an time of 16 minutes and 34.89 seconds.
Furthermore, the session ended after the completion of all planned events.
