Wednesday, May 23rd, 2012 6:32:23 by Haris AnsariThere are several speculations surrounding Pantera’s reunion, though, nothing serious has occurred that leads up to these gossips.
Vinnie Paul Abbott, Pantera drummer, recently revealed that if anything happened he would prefer Zakk Wylde replacing his late brother, Dimebag Darrell.
The versatile musician and renowned guitarist, Zakk Wylde, was obliged after hearing about Paul Abbott’s comments and revealed that it would be an honour to play for the heavy metal band that gained enormous success in the 80’s and early 90’s.
“I love all those guys. It would be an honor. How could I say no? I’d do my best to make them proud”, Wylde stated.
Vinnie Paul stated in a recent interview that Wylde and Dimebag were really tight and that it would make sense for him to take part, but out of respect for his brother he feels that Pantera’s legacy should be left alone.
Pantera’s vocalist, Philip Anselmo, had his own take on the Wylde question, and revealed that the stage would be incomplete without the late Darrell.
“It would be tough not to see Dimebag on stage to my left. I would feel naked”, Anselmo said.
