Islamabad: (Friday, May 25, 2012) Rehman Malik, federal minister for interior said today that Pakistan will review Indian evidences against Jamaatud Dawa (JuD) founder and chief Hafiz Saeed.
As the first day of talks between India and Pakistan on relaxing visa conditionalities began today, India also took up Hafiz Saeed’s issue and brought some additional evidences linking to Saeed’s involvement in the Mumbai attacks.
Talking to the journalists after holding talks with the Indian Home Secretary RK Singh, Malik said that Pakistan is in favour of resolving all outstanding issues with India to bring peace and ensure stability of the region.
He said that Pakistan and India are working together to evolve a mechanism to implement a new visa regime consensus on which has already developed by the both sides. He said that new visa regime will be signed in a short span of
time.
Responding to a question, Malik said that Pakistan had arrested a number of persons who were perceived to be involved in the 2008 Mumbai terror attack. Mentioning of a judicial commission that recently visited India, Malik said
that it will also submit its report before the court soon.
