Imran Khan blames PML-N for creating divisions in Sindh

Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan lashed out at the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) for calling the creation of Sindh’s division, saying that it was Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif who demanded to divide the province a few months ago.

While speaking to the media, the cricketer-turned-politician said that the creation of new provinces within Sindh was a concerted effort to promote hatred among people at grassroots level to secure vote banks. He, however, said the debate is not insightful of the public sentiments.

He observed, “The ruling Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP) government and its allies are actively involved in this conspiracy which will intensify when electioneering is in full swing”.

The captain while issuing warning to the government and its coalition partners said that they were treading a dangerous path which could lead to unprecedented violence and destruction in the region.

Imran Khan expressed his firm stance to oppose this conspiracy at all levels. He noted, “The PTI will oppose the conspiracy with all its political might and stand against political groups playing with the lives of the people of Sindh for their political goals”.

Categorically opposing the division of Sindh province on ethnic basis, the PTI chairman said that loss of 14 innocent lives because of the issue was clear evidence that some political forces were playing politics on dead bodies to ensure their political clout remained intact.

Later, he condemned the continued spy attacks on the Pakistani soil by CIA (Central Intelligence Agency).

In his message on a social networking website twitter, he observed, “We condemn the continuing CIA drone attacks, especially the targeting of a mosque during Fajr prayers, adding to the innocent casualties”.

He was of the opinion that drones were not only illegal according to the international law but also creating more militancy and terrorism in Pakistan. The former captain urged the government to must put a halt to attacks of US unmanned aircrafts.
