Priyanka Chopra was always on my guest list: Karan Johar

Karan Johar and Priyanka Chopra locked many headlines a few days back since rumours revolving around suggested as if Johar deliberately didn’t invite Priyanka at his birthday party bash. However, the filmmaker has rejected all reports as he said there Priyanka was always on her list and there is nothing like this.

Karan Johar, who has turned  forty now, told the media that he also celebrated his 15 years in the Indian film industry.

Karan said, “In spirit I’ve always felt 20 and emotionally, I’ve always been 60, so I think with 40, I strike that perfect balance.”

Karan said about Priyanka Chopra, “Not true. She was always on my guest list!”

Karan Johar’s party also didn’t have the likes of Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan. Everybody knows that both superstars, who were once very good friends, are now archrivals of each other. Nevertheless, Karan said the reason why he didn’t invite them was that both of them are doing shooting of their respective films overseas.

“All I know is that I share a great equation with both of them and they are all just going to be there for me!” he said.

Karan Johar’s birthday celebrations will take place today and he insisted that he is looking forward to many pleasant surprises.

“I am looking forward to pleasant surprises, but no fireworks (laughs). I’m a people’s person and I have long lasting friendships, good and warm equations with a lot of people. I just feel blessed that there are so many people who’re coming to join in my happiness — friends from industry and outside — but I don’t look at it as an attempt to uniting them under one roof as such. I’m no one to do that, but I’m super happy that they are all coming together with a lot of warmth. There’s no room for negativity,” insisted Karan.
