Apple Rumours: New iPhone screen sheet leaks, estimated at 4.1-inch size

Apple may not release the new generation of iPhone at the Worldwide Developers’ Conference this year but iOS 6 might have a preview. The new operating system is expected to be released with the new iPhone but due to its strengthening relationship with Mac OS X Mountain Lion, there might be hints at the event for the new mobile OS.

Whether a new version of the operating system shows any hints or not, it is confirmed that iPhone is not coming to the market any time soon. However, many of its specifications have been leaked on the internet that is making hot news these days.

The most important of them all is the screen size. In latest developments, the front screen sheet of the new Apple phone was leaked to the internet. It clearly shows, and credible sources have confirmed, a 4.1-inch touch screen with a thinner bezel.

However, there are rumours that the new display might be 3.99 inches in existence.

Apple has been fixated at 3.5-inch screen size that first came in the original iPhone in 2007. Since then, the handset has been stuck with the same screen dimensions. Though in 2010 Apple brought forth the densest screen in the world called Retina Display with 332 ppi population, the market has grown in this particular cellular feature.

There are phones in the market that have screens ranging from 3.7 to 5.1 inches and Super-AMOLED/ClearBlack technologies have probed their way into smartphones.  Apple seriously needs to take a step further in this regard. A refreshed screen technology will be a plus in the favour of iPhone.

Moreover, iOS 6 is being tested at Apple labs to fit it in the new resolution that is rumoured to be 640×1136-pixels (16:9 dimensions). The company is trying to fit in five rows of icons as the screen is rumoured screen is taller than existing one.
