Shah Rukh Khan finally apologizes to fans for Wankhede Stadium brawl
Monday, May 28th, 2012 8:37:46 by Imran Shaukat KhanBollywood superstar, Shah Rukh Khan, co-owner of the Indian Premier League team Kolkata Knight Riders, landed in the middle of a controversy last Wednesday night when he got into an ugly brawl with a guard along with other MCA officials at the Wankhede Stadium after a match with Mumbai Indians. However, the actor has now apologized for his misbehavior.
Khan was probed by the local police and he was then banned from entering the Wankhede Stadium for five-years but today after his team won the final match at the M.A. Chidambaram Stadium the 46-year-old star said that he wants to apologize for what happened.
“I want to apologise to the kids for my misbehaviour at MCA. I apologise to all who saw me differently. I shouldn’t have behaved in that manner. But today my team has won, so I guess, all you fans should forgive me. We have won at last.”
It was a deed dramatic win for Khan’s team KKR, who lifted the ‘IPL 5’ trophy. The team needed 7 runs on the last 4 balls before they knocked in two boundaries in a row to finish the matter off in a style. Therefore, Khan was all praises for the players.
Khan, who is also an ambassador of West Bengal, insisted that his team belongs to Bengal now.
“I am proud of Gautam and the boys. We made a video of families of all our players and saw Manvinder Bisla’s parents speaking about their son.
They must be very proud and so am I. I want to tell the people of the Bengal, that now this team belongs to you.” (PTI)
West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee congratulated Khan’s team as well for beating two-time champion Chennai Super Kings to win their first IPL title.
Well, all said and done, since SRK has now apologized, let’s see if Shah Rukh Khan now gets permission to enter the Wankhede Stadium.
