Karachi: (Tuesday, May 29, 2012) Liquified Petroleum Gas (LPG) marketing companies have increased its prices by at least Rs 5 per Kg.
According to a market survey conducted after the price hike, LPG is being sold country wide in the range of Rs 99 to Rs 110 per kilogram.
Resenting this newly introduced increase in the prices, Abdul Hadi Khan, the Chairman LPG Distributors Association said that marketing companies have increased the LPG prices by 4-5 rupees per kg. He was of the view that despite
two fold increase in the LPG sales and consumption, marketing companies have put a bar on its sale up to 800 tons only, and it was highly unwanted.
The prices of LPG in Karachi is around 99-100 rupee per kg, while in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, it varies from Rs 104 to 108, while in Mansehra and Battagram, the prices stay at Rs 110 per kg after this newly introduced price hike.
