Not Bothered by Nawaz’s threats: says PM Gilani

Islamabad: (Tuesday, May 29, 2012) Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani said today that he was not bothered by the threats given by PML-N leader Nawaz Sharif as he did not give them any importance.

Talking to the journalists, Gilani appeared to be critical of Nawaz and said that despite being Prime Minister of the country twice, he did nothing for the betterment of the people.

Alleging that both Nawaz and Imran had no regard for the parliament, the PM said that since PTI chief and PML-N Chief were not member of the parliament, they have no concern with it.

He said, “Few people cannot hold parliament hostage; parliament should complete its five year tenure.”

Replying to a query, Gilani said that it was not the prime minister, but the parliament which was important.

Commenting on NATO supply resumption issue, Prime Minister Gilani said that the decision on it will be made while keeping in view the national interest. He said, “some people were trying to create confusion over the issue.”
