Karachi: (Tuesday, May 29, 2012) Federal Minister for Interior, Rehman Malik said here today that the ruling coalition in Sindh will overcome all the conspiracies against peace in the province.
The minister for interior, who is on an official visit to the UK these days, held a one-on-one meeting with the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain at his residence in London.
In the meeting, the minister observed that some elements in Sindh were instigating turbulence. However, he expressed the resolve that the PPP led government, along with its coalition partners, will foil all bids destabilize the
peace of the province and will at all costs fail those elements bent upon spreading unrest in Sindh.
During the meeting, Malik conveyed the message of co-chairman of the party and president of Pakistan Asif Ali Zardari and of Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani to the MQM chief. The message bore best wishes for his health and prosperity.
Malik, while declaring Alataf Hussain’s role as commendable for strengthening democracy in Pakistan, said that because of such efforts, Pakistan was turning into a welfare state.
The MQM chief said in the meeting that removing public’s deprivation to promote unity and solidarity was need of the hour.
