Manzoor Wasan no longer Interior minister Sindh

Karachi: (Friday, June 01, 2012) Manzoor Wasan no longer holds the office of the Interior Minister Sindh as in a meeting today with the President, it was decided that the portfolio should be handed over to someone else.

Wasan was on leave for over a month and upon his return to Karachi, he called upon President Asif Ali Zardari. It was during this meeting that the President informed him about the decision.

According to the sources, the decision was taken in light of the health problems Wasan was having, and according to the news, it was Wasan himself who advocated for the present decision.

In this regards, a formal notification will be issued shortly. In Mansoor’s absence, Chief Minister Sindh, Syed Qaim Ali Shah, has been holding the portfolio of Home Minister.
