Islamabad: Leader of the opposition in the National Assembly, Chaudhry Nisar said today that raising slogans in the assembly was necessary as the finance minister presented the federal budget for the new fiscal year. Defending
the chaos PML (N) tried to create today, he said this was the only way to make the people’s voice heard in the assembly.
Nisar said this while talking to the journalists outside the National Assembly following the budget speech of Finance Minister Dr Abdul Hafeez Sheikh.
Addressing the media personnel, Nisar said that they will continue to protest for the rights of the people in the similar manner. He said, “We will continue to protest in the National Assembly in this manner from now on.”
Today, as the federal minister for finance started his budget speech in the Parliament, in the leadership of Chaudhry Nisar, the PML (N) parliamentarians started protest and raising slogans. This ensued into a physical fight among
the members of the parliament from PPP and the N league.
Criticizing the government’s approach of being least bothered about the vows of the people, Nisar said that when the country was inundated with floods, the president and his troupe were touring France, adorning suits valuing in
the hundreds of thousands.
He further said, “There is a corruption consortium in Pakistan”.
Being critical on the fact the government could not achieve any of the fiscal targets in the outgoing fiscal year, Nisar said that how Dr Sheikh could present the budget today when yesterday he presented the Economic Survey of
Pakistan highlighting the enormous failures of the government.
