Speculation over Karachi as a province

The Prime Minister of Pakistan Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani has recently made a statement in which he has claimed that the government of the country ruled by the Pakistan Peoples Party is all set to have the upcoming elections as per the previously decided date.
Having said that, the Prime Minister of Pakistan also added that the next elections will not be held without the support of the opposition parties of the countries.

The Prime Minister of Pakistan Yousuf Raza Gilani made the following statements in this regard: “It is my dream that our democratically elected government brings about change of power.”

The Prime Minister of Pakistan Yousuf Raza Gilani did not only comment on the next elections in the country, he also shared his views upon the expected division of one of the most important cities in the country, Karachi. It is expected that the city would
be divided into zones in an attempt to better control the prevailing law and order situation in Karachi. There has been speculation from some quarters that the city might be given the status of a province if such a step is taken.

The Prime Minister of Pakistan Yousuf Raza Gilani commented in the following manner on the matter at hand: “We cannot afford disturbed situation in Karachi as it is mini Pakistan and its administration needs to be effective and the provincial government
should divide it into zones for better security.”  

Referring to the criticism of the opposition on the budget, the Prime Minister said, every time the opposition criticized the budget saying that it is just jugglery of the figures. The Prime Minister of Pakistan Yousuf Raza Gilani however assured that there
will be concrete and positive measures in the next budget for the welfare of the masses.

Yousuf Raza Gilani commented on the matter in the following manner: “We faced challenges and owned responsibility and should not criticize our predecessors.”

There is strong pressure from several quarters to stop the city of Karachi from becoming a province as it would be a very drastic step that would be irreversible.
