Time for conferences and talks on Balochistan passed: Baramdagh Bugti

Geneva: (Friday, June 01, 2012) Baramdagh Bugti, the exiled Baloch leader said today that the time to hold conference and initiate talks on Balochistan has passed. He said this while responding to a query about the recently held
conference on law and order situation in the largest province of Pakistan.

While giving an interview to BBC Urdu, Bugti maintained that he was always ready to speak for the Baloch ethnic living in the province, but not for the Pashtuns who also resided in Balochistan.

Referring to the US Senator who took up the issue of Balochistan in US Congress, Bugti said that it was not a move by the US to put pressure on Pakistan, rather, it was the result of the sustained efforts on part of Baloch community
living abroad.

Talking about the Nato supply route passing through Balochistan, Bugti said that a representative of Balochistan should have been taken on board over the matter.

Bugti further said that the Baloch will take the final decision on a pipeline coming through the province.
