Rana Daggubati says Bipasha Basu can never be his girlfriend!

The Indian film actor and producer Rana Daggubati and Bipasha Basu remained under a lot of discussion because rumours revolving around suggested as if both stars have fallen in love with each other. However, Daggubati has rejected all rumours by saying that Bipasha can never be his girlfriend since he wants a South-Indian girl to be his life partner.

Dagubatti and Bipasha played lead roles opposite to each other in the last year’s dud ‘Dum Maro Dum’ and since they were seen together on several occasions, many out there believed as if they have created a special equation between themselves.

Perhaps this is a reason why the 27-year-old actor has clarified things in his exclusive interview with TOI.

He said, “I am only six films old and it will take time before people start talking about my work. Besides, people like speculating about every girl that I am seen with. They have to understand that I am new to Bollywood and my co-stars are the only friends that I have. Naturally, I will hang out with Bipasha or Abhishek Bachchan!”

He added, “Never! We are just friends and Bipasha can never be my girlfriend! And relationships don’t happen like that. It’s not as if my family will choose a bride for me, or that I want to be with a South Indian girl. When you like someone, it just happens.”

Rana Dagubatti made his acting debut with the Telugu film ‘Leader’, which was released last year on February 19. The actor was won the ‘Filmfare Award for Best Male Debut – South’ with this film yet he moved on to the Bollywood industry.

When asked about it, the actor said he moved to Bollywood because he could have never done a variety of roles in Southern films.

Daggubati is currently participating in an upcoming Telugu film ‘Krishnam Vande Jagadgurum’.
