Lenovo unveils Ultrabooks
Tuesday, June 5th, 2012 6:18:13 by Farasat AliLenovo has presented their new Ultrabook Idea Pad U310 and U410 in Spain. They cost from 600 Euros and weigh from 1.7 kilos depending on model. They are available in blue, gray, pink, red and
electric blue.
The U310 model is 13.3 inches, 18 mm thick and weighs approx 1.7 kilos, hard drive is 500 GB and the battery reportedly lasts 7 hours.
The U410 model, on the other hand, is 14 inches and weighs almost 1.9 kilos, has 1 terabyte of storage and a battery that can last up to 9 hours. Both teams also include technology and Dolby Home Theatre Intel iCore.
“We’re confident that this is going to grow our business. Lenovo is ranked number 2 in the world overall for PC shipments. We want to take that number one position. Nick Reynolds, executive director for Lenovo’s worldwide product
launch was quoted as saying
Reynolds has conceded that Lenovo expects ultrabooks to make up 20% of its portfolio by the end of this year. He expected the percentage t0 grow to 30% at the end of the next year.
"We’re really going all in with ultrabooks. We’re investing heavily." He went on.
Thanks to the 32 GB solid state hard drive that can store data out of those machines. The new Lenovo Ultrabook eliminate downtime and waiting times reduced on and off and update e-mail, instant messaging and social networking updates
automatically, even at rest.
