Ka Long Ng, the emerging young shuttlers from Hong Kong, powered his way into Men’s Singles main round after taming Daniil Genin Kazakhstan in qualifying round of SCG Thailand Open 2012 today, on June 5, in Thailand.
The Hong Kong shuttler displayed his impressive craft in the court and proved too strong for his rival who could not create strong resistance in the court.
Ka Long played with impressive control in his shots and managed to oust his opponent without dropping much sweat in the court as he consumed just 19 minutes in the court and registered a comprehensive victory over Daniil.
In contrast, the lower ranked Daniil played quivering badminton as he could not find a good flow throughout the competition and also remained struggling to match the speed of his higher ranked opponent. He lost the contest with a huge margin without a considerable
resistance in the court.
The impressive Ka Long opened his run in the court in an impressive manner as he played on a completely different level and took an early lead without wasting any time.
On the other hand, Daniil tried to compete well by playing fast badminton but he could not take the bird early and also failed to place his shots accurately.
It was Ka Long who sailed smoothly and remained miles ahead of his rival by reaching at 11-2 until the mid-game interval.
After having rest for one minute, Ka Long continued his roller-coaster run in the court without facing any interruption from his rival and bagged the first game with a one-sided 21-10 score on the board.
Ka Long maintained his firm grip over the pace of rallies in the second game and he did not let his rival to find a good rhythm at any stage and also set up a superb lead of 11-5 on the board.
The confused Daniil, on the other hand failed to live up to expectations and again failed to cope up with the pace of the game.
The Hong Kong shuttler with impressive precision in the concluding half of second game and easily grabbed it with a stunning margin of 21-10.
The spirited Ka Long won the match in straight games with an impressive 21-10 and 21-10 margin on the score board.
