Nintendo Wii U GamePad: What is its real use? – Part 1
Thursday, June 7th, 2012 5:34:21 by Usman KhalidNintendo officially launched the Wii U game console and tablet peripheral Wii U GamePad at the Electronic Entertainment Expo at Los Angeles Convention Center on Wednesday.
The company company’s ambiguous orientation skills still loomed the presentation as it was still in the dark when will the new device it be launched and what will it cost at right from the shelf.
The new GamePad was another unclear iteration from the company. There is no official word on its internal specs and will it be included in the bundle package. Both Wii U and GamePad were launched a year earlier at the E3 2011. However, still on its official release, people are oblivious when will the product hit the shores.
The only thing that the Japanese company revealed at the event was details about the processor of the desktop console stated as “IBM Power-based multicore processor” and the graphics as an “AMD Radeon-based High Definition GPU”.
The GamePad tablet has been tweaked a little bit, which is obvious in comparing the final version with the one launched last year. Moreover, the company itself has confessed that the tablet has been changed to increase the level of gameplay for any gamer profile.
The circular pads at the top corners have been replaced with small joysticks to increase the proficiency of the player. Moreover, the pad comes equipped with gyroscope and accelerometer to assist the players in playing tougher games.
All the gismos from a 6.2-inch touch sensitive screen to IR blaster to gyroscopes, the GamePad gives a déjà vu feeling of a PlayStation Vita from Sony. However, the mirroring of games and audio/video streaming to and from the tablet give it a personal identification.
