The week-long event will once again serve as a platform for the filmmakers and photographers to put their creativity on display, at the same time highlighting the beauty of Andes Mountains. Talking about the latest edition of Eye of the Condor, Ski La Parva’s Director of Corporate Sales and Marketing Rodrigo Medina said that an effort had been put into creating an opportunity for the athletes and brands to put their work on display with the beauty of Andes Mountain in the backdrop. “With the direction of the sport focusing on digital media and quality of production, we have created a venue for athletes and brands to showcase their highest quality work in a cultivating environment,” said Medina. “Not only does Sony Eye of the Condor provide a great outlet for competitors, the laid back Chilean atmosphere provides a great platform for industry leaders to discuss the state of the sport.” The competition will be getting judged by an all-star panel, which will include Chris Davenport and Ingrid Backstrom, who will be awarding the best film and photograph portfolio wish cash prizes. The newly-formed partnership between Eye of the Condor contest and International Freeski Film Festivals (iF3) will play a significant role in helping the teams and brands increase their media distribution. The winning film will also be getting showcased at the iF3 around the globe, including Annecy, France, Montreal, Canada, Innsbruck, Austria and, for the first-time ever, in Santiago, Chile. The inaugural iF3 La Para/Chile film festival will not only hold the screenings of top films to be presented during the week-long event, but will also give fans an opportunity to interact with their favourite freeski athletes during autograph session. The film festival will also feature live music and vendors. Medina conceded that La Parva is really thrilled about its partnership with iF3, adding that it would help to showcase the beauty and uniqueness of the Chilean ski community to the international community.Tags: andes mountain, chris davenport, eye of the conder 2, freeskiing, if3, ingrid backstrom, ski la parva
