Movistar launches Joyn
Tuesday, June 12th, 2012 9:23:30 by Farasat AliMovistar has launched Joyn, better known as
WhatsApp of operators; because it is a free instant messaging service created thanks to meet the standard agreed by the major mobile phone companies in the world.
Curiously Joyn compete directly with Tume, multimedia messaging service (voice, text and videos) launched by Telefonica last May.
And, although the company insists that is complementary applications, it is certain that Tume, developed by Digital Telephone, has the same functionality as Joyn and is also a service platform and
multi-operator, i.e., compatible with all types of terminals and valid for communication between subscribers of different companies.
In Spain, at this time Joyn is available for Movistar customers as for Vodafone, and is expected to soon join the Orange commercial release.
Both services offer chat features media, to talk privately or in groups and also share any file such as photos, music and videos. It’s allows the users to enable video or exchange photos while talking to discuss
what the user is viewing.
For now, the only (and difference) is that Tume is only available for the iPhone (iOS) in the Apple App Store (App Store), as the Android version. By contrast, Joyn is available on Android, version 2.2 or later,
and to download is to go to the store Google Play, and run the application for free.
An amazing and interesting thing about Joyn is that the user might not require high registrations or subscriptions fees. Furthermore, this cool service from the operator is responsible for the quality of service,
guaranteeing the security and privacy of communications.
Consumption data by using Joyn will not cost to Movistar customers as long as you use within the country. Also, for prepaid service users can also use it for free, but to use it they must have some balance.
