Apple releases new MacBook Pro (2012) at WWDC 2012 – Part 1
Tuesday, June 12th, 2012 5:50:59 by Usman KhalidRumour mill finally halts to a stop as the real thing is out at Apple’s Worldwide Developers’ Conference (WWDC). The Cupertino dwellers released the new MacBook Pro at the annual Apple event.
The new MacBook Pro checks most of the desired demands in the wish list of Apple-loyal users. A new design, slim structure and above all, a Retina Display with the densest screen in the world to date, all that is encapsulated in one device.
It had been more than three years since the world saw a major upgrade in MacBook Pro line. There were, no doubt, upgrades under the hood for better performance and keeping the notebook at par with the competition. However, all that had been so monotonous that mere performance was not quite doing the Apple thing.
Apple users direly wanted a new design above all and some good features in the chassis to compete with the likes of new gaming laptops that have been trending of late, mainly because of the new Ivy Bridge processors from Intel and a new line of graphics cards from NVIDIA.
Apple get a little time to upgrade to the new processors from Intel but whenever it does, the whole thing makes a loud bang in the market to herald its arrival. The new MacBook Pro is no exception to that. In fact, even not being in the ultrabook category, it is an ultrabook that everyone is going to love to get their hands on.
The new MacBook takes design and features DNA from last year’s MacBook Air and Pro. In fact, it sits right in the middle of both. Though it is not a tapered design with a sharp edge in the front like a MacBook Air but it does match the depth at the broader side of Air’s chassis. The new laptop is about 0.71-inch thick, being the slimmest MacBook Pro and one of the slimmest professional notebooks in the market.
