This article is a continuation of ‘Broken childhoods in Europe – Part 1’.

Statistics is Eerie: at least 11 out of 100 people in prostitution in the country have less than 18 years , experts say Elem, an organization dedicated to assisting young people with trauma.

The U.S. State Department has sexual exploitation in Israel as a "major social problems" that the government of Benjamin Netanyahu to address urgent , because in the last decade of abuse and neglect cases have increased by 130% from just over 16,000 to almost
40,000. Children are victims in 50% of cases of sexual crimes reported each year in Israel, added the Knesset.

Dora Levinson, a sociologist, a contributor to this committee, recognizes that there has not been a reasonable explanation for such high levels. "Among the victims are children of immigrants, both legal and illegal with few resources with no income, who
are forced by their parents , there are other children, also foreigners, who have run away from home and practicing in the street, but there are a considerable number of teenagers who come to this point because their homes do not receive basic care and affection.

Sometimes prostitutes in protest, while others do it to make money, based on a misconception of sex and love, absolutely mercantilist " .

The Government spends about 500,000 euros a year in several pilot programs in Ashdod, Kiryat Gat, Bat Yam and Nahariya, where is located the so-called "Love Park", the most obvious corner of child prostitution in Israel, where you pay a full relationship
with a packed lunch . But that are just patches.
