Nick Driebergen and Timon Evenhuis win gold medals – 2012 Netherlands Championships

Nick Driebergen and Timon Evenhuis won gold medals of 50m backstroke and 50m breaststroke in Men’s corner at the 2012 Netherlands Swimming Championships in Amsterdam.

Driebergen lived up to the expectations of his supporters by occupying gold medal of the event. He continued his nerve-wrecking pace throughout the event and hit the finishing end for gold medal by producing a time of 25.58 seconds.

The gold medallist was followed by Kersten Jan, who remained 0.70 seconds apart and tapped the finishing blockade for silver medal by submitting a time of 26.28 seconds.

Third spot of the race was secured by Stijn Depypere, who stayed 0.44 seconds apart and made his way to the finishing wall with an effort of 26.72 seconds for bronze medal.

Following that, Evenhuis seized the title of breaststroke discipline. With his fascinating efforts, he remained half body length faster from his strongest opponent and transpired on the finishing end with the timing of 28.68 seconds for the title of the
event.

The gold medallist was followed by Bram Dekker, who was 0.52 seconds apart and made his way to the medal rostrum for silver medal with an effort of 29.20 seconds.

The second position holder was chased by Pieter Jan de Vries, who was only 0.15 seconds apart and cruised his way towards the finishing wall with an effort of 29.35 seconds.

Third event of the session was Men’s butterfly, where Joeri Verlinden occupied gold medal of the event. His stupendous efforts placed him prominently ahead of his challengers in the single lap event as he captured gold medal of the event with the timing
of 24.21 seconds.

His impeccable swim remained 0.56 seconds faster from Tim van Deutekom, who followed him on the finishing end as second position holder by posting a time of 24.77 seconds.

Third spot of the race was secured by Mike Marissen, who stayed only 0.11 seconds away from overpowering the silver medallist and paved his way to the finishing end with the timing of 24.88 seconds.

Furthermore, the championship ended after the completion of all planned events.
