Apple took a huge leap in laptop computer technology with the release of new MacBook Pro, version 2012. That is its official name, but it does not quite do the justice to the technology presented in the new laptop. The 2012 Pro comes with eye-catching Retina Display, Apple’s signature screen display technology.
To be distinctive about the new laptop from the older versions, it is generally referred to as MacBook Pro with Retina Display. Though there are many other new features in the new MacBook that set it apart from its predecessors, with a new design and every possible high-performing technology under the hood, this new device is a league of its own.
With an ultra-slim unibody, third-generation Intel processor and the new NVIDIA graphics card, the new laptop is the biggest upgrade to the Pro line since 2008, when Apple introduced the Aluminium unibody structure for the first time in a laptop.
The unprecedented pixel density sets the 2012 MacBook Pro atop the line of high-end gadgets. Though it is not ultrabook or MacBook Air thin, but as a desktop replacement, it is miles apart from current breed of high-end professional Windows-based laptops. It packs a punch in processing and top-shelf graphics rendering.
However, all that comes at a premium price of $2199 for the base model. The other iteration in the new MacBook Pro is available for $2799. Both of the notebooks are available in 15-inch Retina Display screens and quad-core processors, though the clock speed beefs up with the buck.
