Fauzia Wahab of PPP passes away

The member of Pakistan National Assembly from Sindh Fauzia Wahab bid farewell to life on Sunday evening.

Quite recently, she underwent a gal bladder surgery but her condition became critical just after two weeks of surgery. She was admitted to a local hospital in Karachi and the doctors tried their best to save her life. They kept her alive by using Ventilator in the Intense Care Unite (ICU) for last couple of days but eventually she left her family and friends in deep grief and sorrow.

As a gesture of regard, the Pakistan Peoples Party has announced ten-days mourning on her death.
President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gillani have expressed condolence to the family of deceased.

Fauzia served in the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) for many years and also became a member of National Assembly on PPP’s ticket. She was appointed as the central Information Secretary of the Pakistan Peoples Party after Ms. Sherry Rehman stepped down from the post on March 18, 2009. However, she resigned from the position of Information Secretary in 2011 when Raymond Davis’ case heated up.
