Shujaat says no objection on Mukhtar as Prime Minister

Islamabad: Pakistan Muslim League Quaid-e-Azam (PML-Q) chief, Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain said here today that his party has no objection on nomination of Chaudhry Ahmed Mukhtar as prime minister.

While talking to the journalists, the PML-Q leader said that the allied parties had gave President Asif Ali Zardari the mandate to make the final decision in this regard.

Following the disqualification of Yousuf Raza Gilani by the Supreme Court on Tuesday, the ruling alliance gathered at the president house in an emergency meeting and discussed the pros and cons of the Supreme Court’s decision to
disqualify Gilani as the prime minister of the country and the member National Assembly.

The meeting was chaired by the president Asif Ali Zardari.

The final decision in this regards shall be taken in the parliamentary party meeting of the PPP today while name of the new prime minister will be announced on Friday in the National Assembly session convened by the President.
