Samsung Galaxy SIII (2012): Full Review – Part 1

Samsung released the new model of its flagship smartphone brand, Galaxy SIII, or S3 on May 3. However, global version had quad-core processor but no 4G LTE capabilities. The Korean company has released the LTE version in the US with a snappy dual-core processor.

The hype created on the release of the new handset wrongly directed the public to the notion that the new smartphone will be revolutionary with at least the screen resolution somewhere near Retina Display. However, the actual release mooted all those gossips.

Though the phone is an astonishing piece of electronic engineering, it is anything but revolutionary, and that is exactly opposite to what Samsung has written in the dogma for Galaxy S series. What Samsung brings in the flagship model is the beautiful amalgamation of all the high-tech features that the users can only see separately in other phones.

It might not have the sharpest screen or might not be the thinnest smartphone in the market but it surely brings both in a very attractive and respectable manner. At 0.37 inches, it might not be the thinnest of the hoard but you might not be able to see an HD 4.8-inch screen in such a thin chassis.

This however, is just scratching the surface, the tip of the ice berg. SIII brings every latest gadgetry from HS screen to 4G to NFC tech in the same structure and the price is just perfect. The US version starts at $199 for 16 GB model with a two-year contract.

Samsung has also brought the burst marketing strategy into play. Five US carriers have joined hands with the Koreans on mass marketing and distribution of the new handset. The price is set for all data services, HSPA+ and LTE, the former now called 4G as well.
