Sequel of Top Gun features Tom Cruise

Maverick will take to the skies. Tom Cruise has confirmed that new orders will be made for Tony Scott film, nearly three decades later, and the second part of Top Gun.

It was on the red carpet at the premiere of Rock of Ages, the musical starring and Spanish hit the theatres in August, which confirmed that Cruise is already working with the team preparing the sequel to one of the great successes of the film the eighties.

A project that Cruise will not only meet Scott, but tamibén with producer Jerry Bruckheimer. "We are working on it. Let’s see what happens, if we can get adeñamte the script and we got it," said Cruise told MTV when asked by the sequel to Top Gun.

 "It would be fun to be in those planes. I want to fly those planes," he exclaimed Cruise is not the only one who wants to fly defying the speed of sound. The other star, Val Kilmer (Tom "Iceman" Kazanski), and expressed interest back in this sequel, "Sure,
it would be fun; will have to cut my hair but … all for the sequel."

For months now that Scott confirmed they were working on the sequel to Top Gun, although it seems that the process of creating a fairly coherent script to return to action characters that are three decades in the dry dock is choking them.

Released in 1986, ‘Top Gun’ was a real blockbuster with over 350 million dollars of revenue. A milestone at the time also was the first major commercial success of Tony Scott, Ridley’s brother, and the consecration of Tom Cruise after his breakthrough with
films like ‘Risky Business’, ‘rebels’ or ‘Legend’, which curiously was led by the eldest brother Scott.
