Shahid Kapoor discusses his relationship with Kareena Kapoor

Bollywood actor Shahid Kapoor remained in a serious relationship with the ultimate diva of the Indian filmmaking industry Kareena Kapoor for almost four and a half year and he says he during his time with Kareena he was so committed that he withdrew into a shell as a result to which many of his co-stars found him arrogant.

Kapoor, who was recently seen in ‘Teri Meri Kahaani’, has always remained tight-lipped about his relationship with Kareena but for the first time, in an interview with the HT, the actor has opened up about his former relationship.

During the interview, Shahid was asked why his co-stars used to complaint about his arrogance during that time, on which the actor replied by saying that it all happened because he was very committed.

Shahid said, “I blame it on my being a great boyfriend. I was in a four and a half year old relationship and was very committed. I did not find any reason nor did I have the time to socialize or make friends otherwise.”

Shahid then joked, “Now I have learnt better. And I shall not be the most wonderful boyfriend.”

However, the 31-year-old, who is also a trained dancer, insisted that he has moved on now and is in a very good space.

Shahid said, “I don’t look back. I am happy the way things happened and the way things are now. I am in very good space. That’s all that matters.”

Shahid, not too long ago, landed in the middle of a controversy since the rumours revolving around suggested as if he has called his ‘Kismat Konnection’ co-star Vidya Balan, fat.

Therefore, the actor, while speaking on his inclusion, also cleared the air on all reports.

He said, “I have to get this straight today. I never, never called her fat.

“I am far too cultured to be disrespectful to a woman. I wouldn’t and I didn’t.”

Shahid Kapoor is currently participating in the shooting of Maneesh Sharma’s forthcoming film, which has not been titled as of yet.
