All the required ports and slots are available in the device. There USB 3.0, DisplayPort and HDMI available in the new laptop. There is even an Ethernet port available as well.
Bluetooth, WiFi 802.11 are standard issues in all variants of the notebook. The XPS 14 is available in different configurations for as low as $1099. The top-end combination brings up the price to as high as $1499, which is still lower than the new MacBook Pro with Retina Display.
Alternative
Though the new XPS 14 is a mid-range high-end portable device that brings the latest gadgetry to the table, it still is on the pricy end of the equation and if an ultrabook is under consideration than there are many other alternatives in the market.
Including Dell’s own XPS 13 and Aspiron 14z are some of the replacements to quote. Despite the fact that the latter option tops the hardware configurations at Core i5 Ivy Bridge processor and discrete graphics from AMD, it still does the job with effectiveness and is up for grabs under 900 bucks. The XPS 13 is purest example of an ultrabook and is quoted as one of the few simply and aptly designed, no-nonsense ultrabooks. However, it still browses in the neighbourhood of a 1000-dollar price bracket.
HP Folio is another example to state in this regard, although it has low specifications, it is still one of the less expensive ultrabooks in the market.
