Imran Khan vows to make Pakistan an Islamic welfare state
Wednesday, June 27th, 2012 3:50:24 by Faisal FarooqImran Khan, the chairman of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), has vowed to make Pakistan an Islamic welfare state at the world’s map.
Addressing a news conference, the cricketer-turned-politician said that Pakistan’s creation had been worthless if it fails to become an Islamic welfare state.
He observed, “The failure of Pakistan becoming an Islamic welfare state will be a deception for all Muslims residing in India, because the country was formed on the very basis of becoming an Islamic welfare state”.
The former captain was of the opinion that there was no concept of welfare states in Europe and they had borrowed it from the Muslim history.
All the Scandinavian states have been formed on this concept, he said adding that they call it Omar’s law in Sweden. He asked the people to join hands with him, urging the need to bring their culture back to their own land.
Replying to a query about drone strikes, the former legendary cricketer expressed pleasures that former US president Jimmy Carter criticized the attacks carried out by US unmanned aircrafts.
He said, “Jimmy Carter openly criticized (US President Barack) Obama’s drone campaign and termed it as assassination. He said that it was not only a violation of international laws but also humanitarian laws.”
Imran Khan also said that the Pakistani parliament passed a resolution against drone strikes in the tribal areas. International community also accepts that the spy attacks were not right way to target people, he added.
The PTI leader was of the opinion that the public support for drone attacks was on a downward spiral.
Earlier on Monday, the PTI leader said that his party would clean sweep in the upcoming general elections. Making claiming that he would take tax collection up to Rs 4000 billion, he claimed that his party would decrease the tax-rate and increase tax-base in the country.
Imran Khan was of the opinion that the people repeatedly given chances to all political parties who ruled the country for many decades but to no avail.
He asked the masses to support his party in the coming elections and he would change the fate of the country and put the system on right track.

Pakistan cannot afford any such experience anymore.
And we do not have any unfulfilled promises with Indian muslim neither they are looking to us for any such developments. They are very well off in India.
