The best tablets that money could buy (2012) – Part 3
Wednesday, June 27th, 2012 4:16:21 by Usman KhalidThe most important thing about the new iPad is that its price for WiFi-only versions remains the same despite the inclusion of a vigorous display and a new dual-core A5X processor with a quad-core GPU.
With more than 3 million pixels nestled inside (2048×1536), the text on books and web pages looks paper-like sharp and is very easy to read. Videos are on the next level with crisp display and a higher, smoother frame rate. For some games, the fps (frames per second) rate spikes up to as much as 80. For a thin device this is impressive.
The prices hike up 130 bucks for the 4G LTE version, starting at $529 for the 16 GB model to $729 for top-end 64 GB device. However, for the latest and greatest features and components, this is not a Rolls Royce-high price.
Network data transfer has always been iOS devices’ strong suit. The new iPad is not an exception. It brings the 4G LTE to the equation for unlimited and unrestricted supply of internet at the hands of the users where ever they go.
It is a tad heavier and as much thicker than the iPad 2 but it still is lighter than most of the competition. When it comes to efficiency, there is no current laptop that can match either its display or processing.
Transformer Pad TF700 2012 (Asus)
The Taiwanese company has judged it right that the future is of tablets. There is no denying the fact that the slates are the future PC. Heavy and graphics-intensive software are restricted to desktops and desktop-replacement laptops. Therefore, it is better to hoard the market with latest slate devices.
In just over six months, Asus has released three different versions of Transformer tablets, starting with the Eee Pad Prime in December, 2011. The latest Transformer Pad TF700 however, is the best they have produced and is better than any Android tablet out there in the market.
