Andy Coulson, the former communications director of the British Prime Minister David Cameron, has been arrested on suspicion of perjury. He would appear as a witness in a trial in Glasgow in December 2010 under oath of false misrepresentation. Ministry informed
that the Scottish public was with him.
Coulson is in another case on bail. As a former editor of News of the World he would have been aware of the illegal eavesdropping and other detection methods at the now defunct tabloid. The 44-year-old Coulson was arrested in July 2011, but has always denied
that he was aware of the practices.
He resigned as editor in 2007, however, after a private detective and a journalist had been convicted for the illegal interception of mailboxes, including those of members of the royal family. In the case of Scotland involves the socialist politician Tommy
Sheridan who had filed complaints against the British newspaper News International Holding, which the media empire of Rupert Murdoch belongs, for libel in 2006 and been right.
In December 2010 he was in prison for perjury however convicted. Coulson was called as a witness during that process. He said that during his period as editor of News of the World of no illegal activity had been aware. The tabloid, there was no question
