Glad Parliament will fulfill its tenure: Gilani
Lahore: Former Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani said here today that it was important for the assembly to complete its five year tenure, not for the prime minister.
Gilani, who is visiting Lahore for the first time after his disqualification by the Supreme Court, while talking to the journalists at the Lahore Airport, said, “My wish for Parliament’s supremacy has been fulfilled.”
He further added that his dream of leaving the PM house gracefully has turned into a reality.
The Supreme Court had disqualified Yousuf Raza Gilani in contempt of court case as he failed to write a letter to Swiss authorities seeking to reopen corruption cases against President Asif Ali Zardari.
